Hi friends,
We have exciting news and a *special invitation* for you all today – but first, we want to share our profound gratitude for the way our community has been showing up for each other over the past few weeks.
This incredible community has contributed a total of $9495 to our Food Access Fund in the last 10 days! THANK YOU for helping us begin to fill the fundraising gap caused by the pandemic, and get produce to our low-income neighbors who are counting on it. The need is much greater this year, and this is a wonderful start!
Huge shout out to Cooper Daughters Spirits at Old Yorke Farm, for generously donating much needed hand sanitizer!! They are stepping up in such a critical way, as suppliers are totally out of stock.
We’ve also been deeply nourished by our hyper-local community, checking in with each other regularly, and coming together to organize mutual aid efforts as the pandemic continues and worsens in our region.
Amidst so much suffering and loss, hoorah for some good news! Speaking of good news . . .
You’re invited!
**Update! This event already happened, but you can access the recording right HERE.**
Usually, this is the time of year we come out of hibernation and start attending events and posting our flyers both locally and in NYC to promote our CSA and Food Access Fund.
As we adapt to a new way of life we are gearing up for a different kind of season kick-off. We wanted to create an online space to share and connect safely. We hope you’ll check it out, join us, and please spread the word!
What you’ll learn:
Our unique business model, rooted in social justice, LGBTQ+ rights and community.
How and why Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) works, now more than ever.
Key problems and solutions in the local food economy.
PLUS, Live Q & A and surprise giveaways, woot woot!
Together, we’ll begin to unpack the intersections between food, farming, justice and community – and how you as a consumer can best nourish yourself and the collective.
Be our human flyers?
Now more than ever, we know lots of people are trying to figure out safe, high quality food sources to nourish their loved ones and support their community during this unprecedented time.
Can you help us spread the word to your friends, family and neighbors?
Send folks to Instagram (@rocksteadyfarm), our website, or our new “Meet your Farmers” event page to learn more about our CSA and food access initiatives.
