Hi friends,
Whoosh, things are happening very fast around here these days - we definitely didn’t expect to reach our expanded CSA capacity before the sign up deadline! But it looks like that will be happening very soon (likely in the next few hours).
As of writing this post, we have 10 spots left!
Click here to sign up for one of these last spots.
If you have already signed up - welcome! We’ll be sending a member update in the next couple days, with important info and reminders. For now, mark your calendar for the first distribution during the second week in June (10th, 11th or 13th, depending on your pick up location).
If you were hoping to join and weren’t able to get a spot, we are so sorry for the disappointment, and late notice - it snuck up on us, too. Please add your name to the wait list and if we are able to increase capacity, or open up additional spots we will be in touch as soon as possible. We’re also brainstorming shorter shares later in the season, and/or an extended November share - so definitely stay tuned for other opportunities to participate.
Additionally, we’ve held a few spots for those of you who have been members for many years, who we know aren’t used to this situation (we’re with you on that one). Email hannah@rocksteadyfarm.com to let us know if you’re in this situation.
Lastly - huge gratitude to all of you who have told your friends about our farm, and encouraged your neighbors to source their food locally . We are honestly overwhelmed by the support, and we’re excited to feed 360 members this season, not including all of our local food pantry members in collaboration with the North East Community Center.
Some field updates & pics . . .
Another first this season was a snow storm on MAY 9TH!!! And it was sleeting and hailing last night. Whaaaa?? We all have been having a lot of feelings about the weather. I think D. speaks for all of us in these pics:
Luckily, before very cold nights, we’ve been covering all our plant babies with a protective white cloth called row cover or Agribon, and they’ve all managed to survive the temps and precipitation.
In flower land, we’ve seen so much color coming out of the fields the past few weeks - and last week, we sold every last stem. It makes sense that people are wanting an extra dose of beauty these days. If you are local to our area, you can find our blooms at LaBonne’s in Salisbury and Big Rock in Stanfordville. We have also been putting together some occasional pick-up orders on farm, upon request - email hannah@rocksteadyfarm.com if you live nearby and would like to arrange that!

Every single day, we feel lucky to work in a way that allows us to commune, collaborate and bear witness to nature. And to grow food for our community members.
Thank you for all the ways you support our farm and for being a part of our community.
